I do not know how long, but I started Infinite Jest.
I read the first hundred pages, and as I suspected, the myth of this huge masterpiece, masterpiece, so much as to be impossible to read, is just a myth.
First of all, I know two people who read it all, including notes, and then, frankly, the first hundred pages of The purpose of the system are really much more complicated. Not to mention Brief Interviews with Hideous Men .
