Chiavari - In recent months, two volunteers Legambiente Lavagna, have been reported as a consequence of criminal associations held in Chiavari in defense of important environmental issues.
In particular, the project buried in the historic center of the garage and see the red from the hydrogeological point of view to raise doubts, criticism and opposition from the citizens and the main political forces in the city to national level (PDL, Pd, UDC).
The cases that led to the complaint of the volunteers deal with the opening of a banner reading "Stop the Concrete" in the square of the Garden for a few minutes and without blocking the passage or interdict trafficking or use sound instruments such as to cause disturbance.
In this first case was reported the representative of the association "Green Yard Legambiente" who was sentenced to 9 days of arrest and a fine of 200 euro replaced with fine of 1350 €. The volunteer now has 15 days to make and of course the opposition will ask the process with legal custody of Legambiente.
In the second case, during a city council on fire on the theme of the Garden Park, with a room full of elderly people, lack the most elementary safety regulations, an environmental association in writing gives the phrase " shame, I'm leaving! " leaving the classroom. For this reason, apparently at the discretion of the Mayor, as reported by newspapers, the criminal complaint meritorious.
This way we seem ill suited to a debate that is likely to remain a political and dialectical. We consider unacceptable then the veiled "threats" from putting up posters made by the city to intimidate citizens from engaging in protest actions, including legal action to prevent the development of projects harmful to the area. We express solidarity with our volunteers by providing them with the necessary legal protection.
